The wilderness is a place of silence and separation,
A place where one can truly express their imagination.
I am someone who appreciates this kind of sanction
Due to the fact I am somewhat tranquil and slow paced.
Reflection and meditation are themes upon which this class is based.
I was instantly drawn to this course once I read the overview. I am not much of a wilderness, nature girl but I do appreciate reflection and the idea of exploring new places and the spiritual connections experienced there. Having gone to private Catholic school my whole life, I feel like I can openly participate in class and really do some self-reflection based on my own experiences. I would much rather be in an interactive class, where everyone participates than just hearing lectures and taking notes. I look forward to learning more about "universal" sacred places and what makes these locations so special. I have already learned so much just from reading the introduction and chapter one of "Landscapes of the Sacred". I know this class won't be easy and it will require my full attention and participation as well as critical thinking. This class will in-depth explore ideas and concepts that won't be easily understandable; however, I am definitely ready for the challenge!
