The following are my thoughts during a recent Cru Retreat
A beautiful landscape, an island in the middle of a river, how serene, untouched, ancient, and powerful. It enthralls me with dreams and questions, simply by entering my eyes. My God made this, my God also created man and women. How much more beautiful, complex, and detailed people are. Each person possess its own spirit, the source of all beauty, each spirit holding in itself a peace of the creator. If I only I could see every person as I see this beautiful landscape before me. I never judge nature, nature simply is, and I appreciate it as such. But O how I judge people, finding every little imperfection and focusing on it. I love nature for its imperfections, for its damaged rocks, for its lack of symmetry and sameness, why can't I feel the same towards people. Who am I to except them to change their nature to please me, I am not their father, I am not their creator. Who am I to not love someone in till they change, hating the sinner not the sin, hating a person due to an imperfect personality. All people are works of art made by God, all people are as beautiful as an Island in the middle of a river.
