Kayla Delaguila- Open

We spent a long time discussing Dr. Redick’s hike up Mount Rainier in class. This has actually inspired me to plan my own trip to Washington in order to hike the mountain. Don’t get me wrong here; I definitely do not plan on going the whole way up. In fact, I really only plan on hiking the 9ish miles to Mystic Lake. I really want to go there ever since Dr. Redick put up those pictures of the lake, it was one of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen and suddenly became a little obsessed with seeing it in person. Plus, this would also become a road trip with my best friends. I get a combination of road trip and magical experience in nature, how could I pass that up? I always thought a road trip could almost serve as a growing experience, whether it serves as a way for me to grow personally or in my relationship with my friends. Either way, I cannot wait to embark on my road trip and see my beautiful natural setting.
