James Joseph: Outside Source (3)

Matthew 18:12-14 reads: "What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost".

This message relates God's love in an analogy of shepherds and their sheep, and uses all of nature along with it. This truly displays how religions will incorporate opinions on nature in their religious beliefs. For isn't from the earth we learn all that we do today? From the beginning until now, we have lived on this earth, understanding it and applying that understanding to how we live. How then, do we act differently from others with this in mind? Can it cause such significant differences that someone of a different religion could view nature as more important in our lives, or vice versa?
