Nolan Trail 2 - William Pfeiffer

My second Trail experience came from the water at the edge of the lake. On the way back to my car, I stopped by the bridge to go near the water for a second. While there, I saw some minnows in a small pool of water swimming about without a care in the world. I, however, could see that they were surrounded on all sides by dirt and unable to get out. This made me think of the similarities between the minnows and humans. The minnows are trapped in their small pool but don’t seem to notice. Humans are unknowing trapped, by our own accord, by the technology that we use. Rarely does a day go by that we don’t check our Facebook, or email, or phones. If we could find a way to free ourselves, like the minnows leaving the pool, we would be able to better enjoy the world like the minnows in the lake.
