Roland Chandler: Experience in Nature: Communitas
After the class session held on the trail, I realized that I had nowhere else to be and wanted to stick around on the trail and hear more from Dr. Redick. After being taught about the trees growing to meet the sunlight, experiencing the amazing scent of bayleaf, and jumping over bridges, Dr. Redick went off and we decided to go the long way back. It ended up being longer than we expected, and it was about to rain and we were hungry, but it was so worth it for the experience of being in the community together, six people who were one in place and became one in purpose. We didn't even care about the hunger, fatigue, or lack of knowing where to go because of the fact that we were all in the moment and enjoying communitas.
