Outside Reading- Meghan Herrity
While searching for books and sources for my paper, I came upon the book titled The Hiker's Guide to Virginia. The book describes and explains many trails in Virginia and routes to take; the book is the book is basically a 101 to the Appalachian Trail and other trails in Viginia. I It describes the 2,144 mile trail that goes all along the East coast and with summits in Maine on Mt. Katahdin and Springer Mountain in Georgia. It gives advice on places to stop and things to see along the trail. The trail is described and it is through this description and the things that I have heard in class that I have so much respect for the people that complete the trail.
