My third choice has to do with the summer between high school and college and its relation to liminality. For me, that summer was filled with work and late nights like many other summers, but there was also a freeing feeling knowing I wouldn’t be going back to high school. However, as the end approached, that freeing feeling became foreboding knowing that I would soon have to shoulder more responsibilities than I had before. This relates to liminality in that I was caught between the two without really being in one or the other: neither a senior nor a freshman.
