Austin Davis Chosen
A sacred place is not chosen it chooses. This is a particularly interesting axiom as several times I have been hiking through the blue ridge area with friends whom have not had the same ritualistic experience that I had though we all tread the same ground. This concept completely individualizes the experience even though the group can all witness the same naturalistic experience. The interesting aspect within this concept is how people can see different portions of the journey as sacred. After the trip it is particularly interesting to discuss everybody's experience typically on the drive home in order to compare what the group saw within the trip as individuals.
