The Third Axiom - Billy Cox
"Sacred place can be tred upon without being entered," as stated by Belden Lane. He explains his attempts to find sacred place, and being unsuccessful for a great deal of time before finally entering one while walking through a place he had been many times prior to this experience. My question in regards to this is whether a person can go their entire life without entering into a sacred place. At this point I have lived over 20 years, but cannot recall any instance in which I have experienced what Lane describes. I wonder if someone like Lane, after years of entering sacred places, has come to be able to recognize visually what a sacred place looks like. My initial thought would be no, due to the experience he described along with this axiom, but he must have some idea of what comprises of a sacred place, or he wouldn't have journeyed into the wilderness searching.
