Daniel DeWyngaert - Outside Reading 2

This entry of my blog is about once again my readings on the history and myth of the Hawaiian islands. This reading was about a historical experience that happened in the late 18th century about Kilauea once again. One day under the rule of High Chief Kamehameha, there was an attack planned against his village by a rival tribe. This rival tribe was advancing around the mountain to flank the village. Although, before they could attack, the volcano had a mini eruption killing all the attackers before they could even reach the village. There was also a very vibrant depiction on a separate account of Pele saving her children from outside aggressors. Perhaps these stories are correlated. I find this extremely amusing.
