Turner's Flow-Evan Shively
Turner describes "Flow" as the merging of action and awareness. In class we discussed how flow is similar to being in the "zone", a feeling many athletes describe. I'm a very rational person and I often find it hard to be in a "zone" or to go with the flow. However, there is one activity that allows me to let go, which is playing music. When I'm into a song I don't have to think about anything else just let myself play and listen. It's an amazing feeling that lets me be outside time, often when I'm in this zone hours pass without me noticing. I think everyone has an activity like this to ease the stress of life. It allows a relaxation and letting go. Life especially college is so stressful and busy without an ability to enter the "flow" one could not manage.
