IV speaker-Eric Fesmire

The IV speaker last night mentioned going out into nature in order to experience God. He brought up one of the Psalms saying that the heavens declare the glory of God. He brought up solitude in nature as a way to help you focus on the goodness of God. A few things make up this being true, in my opinion. If you pay attention the the Genesis account, God creates the world good. Besides this, Jesus went out into nature for his solitude. I think solitude in nature helps center us. Praying on the edge of a mountain means you have a physical representation immediately in front of you that God can do great and amazing things.

The speaker saying this struck me as interesting because of his topic of choice, which was the gospel. This solitude helps us to further understand the gospel, integrating it personally into our lives that are usually so busy.
