Nature Walk-Eric Fesmire

One of the main thing that I wrote about on the nature walk was the human invasion of the natural space. The sounds from the roads continually invaded the natural setting. I wasn't entirely sure how I felt about it, but I think i saw it going both ways. The paths made through the woods allowed for some trees to grow taller because light was let into the thick woods. However, to make those paths artificially required removal of some trees and undergrowth. Getting past the noises I was used to, I remember the being shocked by the noise of the wind in the tops of the trees. It rustled and moved whenever it pleased, and interrupted the normal quiet of the woods. Perched up in my tree, I had a different perspective than I was used to. Sitting down, I was able to look out on the woods around me and feel much closer to it then just walking through it.
