New Age Pilgrimage - Stephen Mason

During one of your classes you briefly mentioned some people you met on the trail that practice a kind of new age pilgrimage. Since then I have been interested in what you meant by this and recently looked up the topic to look for answers. What I found was a lot of stuff on energy circles and lay lines around the world and things like that that lead people feel like they are recieving some sort of benefit by being in them. Although I personally do not believe in this stuff I do find it interesting that people would be willing to go on pilgrimage for things like this and that people would be willing to go all over the world for something that has little to no evidence of being true. Since they believe in it though, I'm sure they find benefits and reasons for it no different then someone going on pilgrimage for a religion like Christianity.
