Daniel DeWyngaert - Turner's Three stages of pilgrimage

Victor Turner wrote the book Image and Pilgrimage in Christian Culture. This author discusses many different topics of the traveling pilgrimages in this book. One of the main important ideas that I took from it was the three stages seen while traveling through a pilgrimage. I feel these are important because it shows a clear mental path through a pilgrims experience as they travel towards their spiritual goal. These three stages are separation, liminality and re aggregation. Each of these is very important to the journey and will each be explained separately in later blogs.
