Liminality from Turner - Josh Osteen

Turner talks about liminality and defines and explains it in the appendix A in the back of his book. I really enjoyed the in-depth look that was easy to find. Liminality, as we talked about in class, is the second phase of a rite of passage. The threshold idea that we talked about in class was a great illustration as to the idea of liminality. The fact that the person is not done nor beginning is such a hard concept to grasp without experience. Turner talks about how there is a lack of social structure with liminality that I have not personally experiences but it sounds like a very life-changing moment. To maybe connect this with flow, I feel there might be a similar time of experience. If there was just a middle ground, there might be a loss of awareness?
