Mystery Places-Eric Fesmire

I was wondering what a study of the mystery places of the world would mean for the study of sacred place. When I say mystery place, I am thinking of places like Easter Island, the Bermuda Triangle, Stonehenge etc. These places have heavy layers of mythology and traditions behind them. Multiple theories, stories, and cultures could impact any one person's interaction with space. Besides these, there is also the physical place itself. Easter Island's beautiful landscape might create unique spiritual experiences outside of the traditions and mythology. All of this adds up to part of the mystery: how can a place create multiple unique spiritual experiences. Which I guess could be applied to all places.

Ultimately the spiritual experience seems to be up to the person, up to what they are looking for and where they are in life.
