I was reading an article online the other day about a hiker's journey on the Appalachian Trail. In one part of the article, the hiker mentioned that he had received trail magic while on his journey. This articles made my day, because it related to what I had learn in class. Jeffrey Chow was the receiver of this trail magic, which included dinner and a bed to sleep in for the night. Chow suffers from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is a disorder that causes the person to become fatigued easily by doing physical activities. So, a good night sleep in a cozy bed was the perfect form of trail magic that Jeffery Chow could of received. This article was published all in the way in Minnesota, so this tells me that the idea of trail magic has become more popular all over the country. Trail magic is the topic of my term paper, and I decided to write about it because of the good that it brings to the Appalachian Trail and to the hikers. Hopefully the idea of trail magic has become popular on other trail around the nation, so that all hikers can have the opportunity of receive this great gift.
