I was reading an article today, that talked about how a Christian church was set on fire by Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem. I guess this just goes to show that there will always be some kind of violence in Israel and in Jerusalem. Jerusalem is considered the Holy Land by Christians, because it was where Jesus of Nazareth was crucified. It is also the location for the Great Crusades which happened about a thousand years ago. Today, Israel is in a war state which has two sides that both believe that they have the right to the land, and want to the others to leave. Will this conflict every be completely solved? Hopefully it will end one day, Jerusalem is such a historical religious country, and means a lot to many different religions. The article goes on to say that the attacks were trying to kill people, because a source says that they knew that people would be inside the church. 10 people from the United States and Denmark were inside, but no one was injured. A sacred place, like a religious church or a statue, should be non violent place where people can go to take shelter and be at peace. That place was a religious importance to someone, and therefor it should not be harmed. If someone does not like it, they should start a peaceful protest, but not become violent.
