ccAs I walk along the dirt path on the Noland Trail, I am at peace with what I see around me. On one side of the path I see the lake and the reflection of the water, and on the other side I see the thick woods that includes fallen trees and leaves. I feel like I am standing in between of two different spheres. To my right, the lake and the light are both bright and welcoming, but on the other side, the trees are dark and have a mystery to them. Can I choose I side to go to, or should I just continue walking down the path? Was I continue down the path, I hear the stones cracking under my shoes, and I also hear the breeze passing through the leaves. I feel like I am in this nature wonder world and it is only a couple of miles away from campus. I feel at peace at the world and have a clear and open mind, along with the mosquito bites that I have accumulated. Can I stay like this forever, or will the reality set in, that I have to go back to my dorm room and do homework? So I continue on once more, and now I smell the different plants that are along the path and stop to look at a Goldenrod Bush. This is just one example of the pleasant smells that one would come across on in the woods. Finally I get back to my bake, and hear a helicopter flying near by. I now realize that the nature wonder world is over for today and that I must return to campus.
