Axioms From Lane- Amber Matkowski

Of all Lane's axioms, I believe that the first describes the idea of sacred place better than any other. "Sacred place is not chosen, it chooses," explains that sacredness can not be wished for, searched for, or forced. Sacred place is found when one least expects it. In order to find it, you must not be looking for it. Sacred place chooses to reveal itself when it feels that you are best fit to discover it. Something that is sacred is generally associated with an experience of a higher power. When one needs guidance, support or sympathy from a higher power to help them keep his head up, sacred place may choose to reveal itself to him. The power of sacred place is that it will not chose to unveil itself unless it feels it needs to.
