Free Blog #2-Kristen Gladfelter

The movie "Cold Fever" was, well, interesting. In the beginning I was a bit confused as to why Hirata would travel across Iceland to throw sake in the river for his parents, or why there was a little girl who could break ice and start cars with the shrill cry of her voice. To be honest, it was kind of weird in the beginning. As the story and characters developed, I began to realize that it was a very important journey for Hirata. His emotion finally begin to surface and it was very important to finish his goal. His mandatory journey eventually becam spiritual as well as Hirata discovers a holy place in the country of Iceland. In gerneral this film begins strange, but overall has a good ending.
