Holy Journey: Pilgrimage and Christian Sacred Landscape (outside reading)-Nayra Guevara

This article highlights the sacredness of pilgrimage sites and the strong spiritual bonds attached to the landscape. Limor argues that the religious significance make the descriptions imprecise. The author of the article focuses on the Holy Land and the various pilgrimages taken to that place. A brief historical overview is presented, dating from crucifixion to the Crusades. Limor goes on to conclude that the sacred places (specifically Jerusalem) are beliefs that create the basis of Christianity, not proven facts. Limor’s argument was presented in a valid form. I believe it could have been more specific. Also, Limor should have cited other scholars to back up the argument.
