Kayla Delaguila: Open- marriage
So, I was reading the portions of I and Thou by Martin Buber that were assigned to us and the quote, "marriage can never be renewed except by that which is always the source of all true marriage: that two human beings reveal the You to one another..." I am a little in love with this quote. I know in one of my past posts I was discussing my pessimistic side of marriage: you only get married in order for someone to care when you die. Harsh. This quote revamped the lover of love that is in me. To reveal the You to someone else. That is really a jump, to truly trust someone else with everything that is you; the awkward, weird, quirky parts that make up who you really are. I guess that's why you only do it for the person you truly love and plan to marry. This has put me in a nice mood. I will end my little spiel on love now.
