The National Geographic-Josh Osteen

So I was in Borders the other day and I saw a magazine that had in large letters "Spiritual Journeys." Needless to say I absolutely HAD to buy it!! I mean look at the title of our class! Anyways, the magazine was a National Geographic Special Edition about Spiritual Journeys and it had one article that I didn't read, but I looked at all the pictures! The pictures were beautiful! They had a specific series of pictures that were of places that were in nature that are considered spiritual. The Sea of Galilee was the first picture. It was amazing to read the small capture that talked about how Christians everywhere consider this sea to be one of the most important things in the religion. So much stuff happened with this sea that involved the direct teachings of Jesus. It just adds to the examples of the axioms. This blog post should totally count for two of them. This sea would have just been a body of water, but because Jesus sailed out from shore in order to teach the people the good word, this sea is now one of the most important bodies of water from the Christian religion. I kept thinking while looking at the picture that it is very interesting the gravity that water can have such a universal appeal to an entire faith. I wonder how places these days can become as famous or renowned as places in the past? Are there any places that have recently become popular as places from the Bible or other religions?
