Overall I though that my Nolan trail experience was pretty good. At first I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to write about anything about the trail since I have walked it many times in the past without feeling anything particularly spiritual. This especially worried me when you dismissed the class onto the trail and I had not yet figured out what I was going to write. However, as I rounded one of the bends in the trail I found something, which I thought, would be interesting to write about.
What I found was a single white mushroom growing in a field of dead pine needles. It truly was a very picturesque scene and I would have taken a picture of it to post but my phone was a piece of crap at the time. The reason why the scene struck me was the fact that the mushroom was growing amongst such death and decay of the pine needles that surrounded it. This shows that good things (the mushroom) can come from dark times and that it only takes a little bit of waiting for the bad things in life to show their purpose.
