Outside Reading - News Article - Kevin Covucci

I was looking at on online newspaper and came across an article about a group of Community College students who got together and helped a community rebuild a defunct trail so they could enjoy the spirituality of the wilderness. I feel that this selfless action and commitment showed by the college students shows the power that the wilderness can provide to everyone it touches. I feel that projects like these are great ways for people to give back to the community, and help expand community and communitas. I would love to see CNU students take on a challenge or program just like the students at the Finger Lakes Community College did for their community in upstate New York. I feel that outreach like that would really help get both the name of school out to the community and help rebuild trails that otherwise we become lost forever.
